Google Retail Training
In 2014, Google underwent a massive shift into hardware. In the absence of physical storefronts, the Retail team needed to uncover the most effective way to train third-party retail sales teams to sell Google hardware products. Available digital training platforms were crowded with other brands and we were tasked with making Google stand out.
Our approach: A gamified learning experience that allowed our users to easily train while on the sales floor.
Role: I designed the look and feel of the product, UI elements and worked closely with developers on hand-off and visual design QA.

THE CONTENT STRATEGY
We redesigned training as a progression of three short classes that map to the users’ experience on the sales floor.
Our strategic approach also included a badge rewards program that incentivizes users to unlock badges throughout each course and redeem for prizes later.
